Virtual Memory Space

Interactive multimedia installation

Dimensions: projections of variable size

The purpose of this project was to represent my subjective cityscape of my hometown Budapest, which is built mainly on my personal experiences and childhood memories.

I 3D-scanned the places are important to me with a Kinect, and shaped them to an integrated virtual space, which can be roamed from a subjective point of view. The recorded objects have several malformations and errors due to immatureness of the technology. However, exactly these deficiencies reveal the fragmentation of the recollection's process.
